The North Suburban Wind Ensemble

The North Suburban Wind Ensemble is the premier wind ensemble in Illinois.
Led by Don Shupe, Libertyville High School band director emeritus, and Randy Sundell, Vernon Hills High School band director emeritus, the NSWE is comprised of adult musicians and music education professionals.
Our ensemble presents three concerts each season, featuring band and wind ensemble standards as well as music from emerging composers. Over the years, the band has performed locally and across community festivals and events while we continue to push the musical envelope.
